This a new Session, devoted to a very interesting piece, Manuel de Falla’s “Homenaje pour le Tombeau de Debussy”. It’s a complex, “contemporary” work, that requires the best from performers. Soon we will add more about Falla, its relations with the Spanish Guitar, and his marvelous music.
Welcome to our new little project, thinked for those that once played guitar and now are ready to return. A number of sessions will be released before Christmats
Emili Pujol, a prominent Tarrega’s pupil, was the person who collected his teachings in several books. But in plus, he designs a singular method to learn guitar based on his own work as a performer and as a teacher. This method is the best I know, and I recommend always have on hand, because it is very effective. With it, we will work both the right and left hands, from the beginning
Their method was published in four volumes in a single bilingual edition (so far) in French and Spanish. The substantial part of the method is in volume II and III, the remainder being contributions on the history of the guitar.
Here we have the podcast with our first session, devoted to Francisco Tarrega’s “Endecha”. Into you will find a performance, a little historical background and a master-class. Enjoy it! Click here to see the Podcast with English subtitles Or watch the podcast in Spanish
